Delicious Meals Served, Students Greeted with Warmth and Festivity
Amethi : The second phase of the ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ kicked off with great enthusiasm across Amethi, marking the end of summer vacations and a fresh start to the academic year. All government-run primary and upper primary schools in the district extended a grand traditional welcome to students, setting a festive tone for the new session.
Children were welcomed with roli-teeka ceremonies, and the school premises were beautifully adorned with flowers, rangolis, decorative plants, and balloons, creating a vibrant and joyful environment.
Out of approximately 1.25 lakh enrolled students, 72,000 students marked their attendance on the opening day. Celebrated like a festival, the first day was dedicated to making the children feel special and excited about returning to school, which was visibly reflected in their cheerful participation.

Adding to the excitement, special nutritious and delicious meals were served under the mid-day meal scheme. The thoughtfully curated menu aimed at not only attracting students but also boosting their enthusiasm for attending school regularly. Children enjoyed the meals thoroughly, and parents appreciated the school administration’s efforts to make the learning environment more engaging and child-friendly.
District Basic Education Officer Sanjay Tiwari shared that teachers are actively encouraging students to attend school and are working closely with parents to ensure 100% attendance. He further stated that continuous efforts are being made to transform schools into spaces that are fun, inclusive, and conducive to joyful learning.
The initiative under the ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ reflects the district administration’s commitment to universal education and child welfare, aiming to make every child feel valued and eager to learn.
